Research and Development Manager

Responsibilities:

Lead, plan, and coordinate research and product development activities to advance SUSTAINSEW’s AR/VR-enabled sustainable fashion platform.
Oversee the design of system architecture, prototype development, and integration of immersive technologies such as AR fitting simulations and virtual textile visualization.
Ensure all R&D activities adhere to environmental technology standards, lifecycle sustainability principles, and circular economy models within the fashion sector.
Supervise and mentor software developers, 3D designers, and data engineers, guiding cross-functional teams through agile sprints and technical evaluations.
Conduct feasibility assessments, technology road-mapping, and performance reviews to align innovation priorities with company strategy.
Collaborate with executive leadership, suppliers, and sustainability partners to identify funding opportunities, pilot programs, and product improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in software or R&D management, ideally within sustainable technology, AR/VR, or digital product innovation.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Lean) and technology commercialization practices.
Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams, manage budgets, and deliver complex prototypes to market.
Knowledge of eco-design principles, lifecycle analysis (LCA), and data-driven sustainability metrics is an asset.

Technical Expert (Software Engineer)

Responsibilities:

Design, program, and test key components of SUSTAINSEW’s web and mobile platforms, including digital fashion design tools, virtual fitting modules, and eco-marketplace systems.
Develop secure, scalable software solutions integrating AI-based recommendation engines, blockchain-based traceability features, and AR/VR visualization modules.
Perform debugging, system optimization, and code reviews to maintain reliability, speed, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
Collaborate with the R&D Manager and UI/UX team to ensure an intuitive user experience aligned with accessibility and eco-design standards.
Support the deployment and continuous integration process using cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments..

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of hands-on development experience in both front-end and back-end frameworks (React, Python, Node.js).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, cybersecurity protocols, and sustainability-focused digital solutions.
Experience in AR/VR application development, 3D rendering, or Unity/Unreal engines is considered a strong advantage.
Demonstrated teamwork, creativity, and adaptability in agile tech environments.
